Abstract Submission Guidelines

General Information

  • Last Date of Abstract Submission: 31st October 2024 (midnight). Registration for the conference is mandatory for submission of abstracts.
  • Abstracts can be submitted in four categories:
    • Award paper
    • Free paper
    • e-poster
    • Dr. Sreelatha Award paper on Futuristic Concepts in Dermatology
  • Submission is open only for IADVL Kerala Members (LM/PLM).

Award Papers

  • Submission can be done under 2 categories:
    • i) Case report
    • ii) Study - not more than one in each category from a Medical College.
  • Only Provisional Life Members (PLMs) of Kerala IADVL who are pursuing a postgraduate course in medical colleges within Kerala can submit award papers.
  • The abstract (not more than 300 words) should be submitted with the approval of the head of the department. An approval letter from the HOD is mandatory and should be uploaded along with the abstract.
  • The time allotted for the presentation of a Case report is 6 minutes and for a Research study is 7 minutes.
  • To qualify as a research study, the number of study subjects should be at least 5.
  • Case series with fewer than 5 study subjects should be presented in the case reports section.

Free Papers

  • Only PLM/LM of Kerala IADVL can submit free papers.
  • Free papers can be based on rare case reports, case series, or short original research works. Innovations and original works will be given more weightage.
  • The abstract (not more than 300 words) can be submitted.
  • The time allotted for the presentation of free papers is 7 minutes.
  • Abstracts not included in the free paper category due to time constraints may be considered in the e-poster category.

E-Posters

  • Only Life Members or Provisional Life Members of IADVL Kerala can submit abstracts for E-posters.
  • One person can submit only one E-poster. However, they can be a co-author of more than one E-poster.
  • The e-posters should be original works—either case reports or research studies.
  • The abstract of a case report (not more than 300 words) may be prepared under the following subheadings: introduction, case report & highlights.
  • The abstract of the research study (not more than 300 words) may be prepared under the following subheadings: introduction, objectives, materials and methods, results & conclusions.
  • The template for the same is available on the website and IADVL Kerala website.

Dr. Sreelatha Award Paper Session on Futuristic Concepts in Dermatology

  • Only PLM/LM of IADVL Kerala may submit papers under this session for CUTICON Kerala 2024.
  • The abstract (not more than 400 words) should be submitted to the Scientific Committee of CUTICON Kerala 2024.
  • The Scientific Committee will decide whether the abstract aligns with the theme of the award paper session—Futuristic and stressing innovations applicable in the future.
  • The abstracts may feature original research works or concepts, and presenters should submit a prior undertaking stating that the work is original and has not been presented/published elsewhere.
  • The time allotted for the presentation is 6 minutes. Papers not considered in this category due to time constraints may be considered in the free paper or e-poster category.

Submission Guidelines

All abstracts should be sent to the email ID: cuticonscientific2024@gmail.com before the last date.

The email should be sent with the subject heading as award paper/e-poster/free paper/special category. Information regarding the acceptance of submissions will be intimated by 31st October 2024.
